About Researching the Weird

Regina | Founder

Researching the Weird is my lifelong exploration of the spaces where curiosity, folklore, and intuition meet.

I’m a writer, researcher, and investigator of the unexplained — fascinated by how human stories, spiritual experiences, and cultural myths shape the way we understand the world around (and beyond) us.

At its core, Researching the Weird isn’t about chasing fear — it’s about studying the extraordinary with integrity and wonder. It’s about preserving the narratives that fall between the lines of history: the whispers, sightings, and moments of connection that remind us that mystery still exists.

My Approach to Mediumship

I view mediumship not as performance or proof, but as listening — a deeper practice of empathy and attunement. It’s a way of translating energy and memory, of giving voice to what lingers. When I engage in mediumship, it’s not to claim certainty about the afterlife, but to honor the persistence of story — the idea that even in death, something within us seeks to be remembered.

My View of Tarot

For me, Tarot is a mirror for reflection, not a map of destiny.

Each card is a conversation between intuition, archetype, and experience. I read Tarot as a storytelling tool — one that helps illuminate the patterns we’re too close to see and gives language to our quiet knowing. It’s both analytical and mystical, bridging research and intuition, logic and spirit.

What I Create

Through Researching the Weird, I document my investigations, craft tools for fellow seekers, and design artifacts that merge curiosity with art — field journals, folklore zines, symbolic prints, and divinatory reflections. Everything I make is grounded in inquiry and shaped by the belief that mystery deserves both reverence and research.

Because in the end, curiosity never dies — it simply changes form.
